Ánima

Solo show at Anahita Contemporary, Berlin.
September - October 2021

The exhibition is made up of a series of drawings that deal with mystical images of the mystical images of the unconscious inspired by avatars or entelechies.
entelechies, made during quarantine and in an act of reconnecting with the creative process (maternity).
The result is a combination of present and past, pencil drawings in dialogue with in dialogue with technologically complex works, where I worked in different ways; through an order established by self-imposed grids. established by self-imposed grids and the joy of creating through play and intuition. through play and intuition.
I also installed a series of hanging objects made with stainless steel plates, paintings on cork sheets, and a sculpture or Totem that combines pieces assembled from different materials such as aluminium, bronze and ceramics.
At the same time we find a series of very light paintings on cork. These show a remarkable contrast between colour and form: hard edges that intertwine with the subtlety of the organic material.
Ánima is the result of a melting pot of different cultural influences and at the same time a quest that combines varied techniques that evidence the artist's restless creative process.
